I’ve observed those who show a great amount of love to those around them. Typically they are people who have polarizing personalities, either they are loved or hated: they rarely leave space for indifference. These people show a great deal of love, an amount that would even be considered detrimental and from certain perspectives would even appear to present weakness. Many people hold the believe that strength and power leave no space for compassion, for vulnerability, and for the desire to be accepted: I’ve found this to be a false believe. It’s ironic but those who are polarizing also desire to be understood and accepted in the same manner as those who primarily invoke indifference from others.

Indifference is great because one does not have to stand on any specific side of the fence. They are simply forgettable, they don’t evoke any extreme emotion and can be compartmentalized by their observers. They can evade detection and scrutiny from those around them, achieving mediocrity, which is an effective way to hide.

Nevertheless, those who are polarizing are more similar to the observer, than the observer would like to admit. In the same case those who evoke indifference share similarities to those who are polarizing, in varying degrees.
